Heartstongue Fern

In this fun Crane illustration, a young stag takes a drink from a pond surrounded by heartstongue fern. The deer gracefully stretches out his long tongue to reach the clear water of the pond. Another great flower metaphor image for crafters.

This vintage image is from the talented artist Walter Crane (1845-1915). It was included in the book A Floral Fantasy In an Old English Garden published in 1899.
