Ragged Robin, Shepherd’s Purse & Honesty

How much fun can be had at the end of a great illustrator’s pen and the variety of flower names! This flower metaphor shows a pair of ragged robins making off with the shepherd’s purse while honesty looks on in dismay. Another great public domain image of flowers and flower metaphors for crafters.

This vintage image is from the talented artist Walter Crane (1845-1915). It was included in the book A Floral Fantasy In an Old English Garden published in 1899.
