A beautiful black and white line drawing of a mother and child by the artist Walter Crane (1845-1915) which appeared in A Book of Christmas Verse from 1895. The infant rests upon its mother’s breast as she rocks it to sleep. The baby’s cradle nearby and a large bouquet of flowers add more interest to this simple image that could be colorized easily.
