Oddly enough, among all of the wonderful illustrations I’ve shared with everyone here on Reusable Art, it is a bee image that remains the most popular. (both here and on Pinterest) It’s not this vintage bee engraving; this fellow came much later than that one. But, it’s still pretty cool. It’s a single bee, isolated on a white background.
This bee was featured in an advertisement for Quinby’s Bee Keeping. His ad was posted in the American Agriculturist volume 26 from 1867.
This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
