In the Garden

Charming drawing of a pair of Victorian children. This black and white drawing of a brother and sister enjoying a garden is all about discovering something special. In the context where this drawing was found, that something special was a “great, horrid green worm” but it could easily be one of the pretty flowers growing in the garden. Along with the children and the flowers is a garden path with a large sundial.

This vintage artwork was included in the 1886 work Miss Elliot’s Girls – Stories of Beasts, Birds, And Butterflies. It did not identify an author or an illustrator.
