Children with Parrot

children-with-parrotTwo children, dressed for a day at the beach meet a large parrot. The bird appears to be as curious about the children as they are about him. The girl, however, does appear to be a bit more interested in a sea-shell she is holding to her ear than the parrot sitting on their perch.

This drawing of children with a parrot could be used as it was found or colorized to match your current creative endeavors or to showcase your favorite parrot species.

This simple, line style drawing is the work of Elmer Boyd Smith (1860-1943). It was included, with a number of other charming drawings of children, in his 1912 book entitled¬†The Seashore Book, Bob and Betty’s Summer with Captain Hawes.
