Cherub Page Spacer

Vintage page spacer featuring a sweet little cherub. In a circular medallion, a cute cherub looks out at us. The rest of the page spacer looks almost out of place with more formal and heraldic lines. I think it might work better to simply edit away the majority of this border image and just use the medallion.

When Alfred H. Engelbach’s book was published in 1878, Engelbach did not identify an illustrator. Many of the images were probably purchased from a print foundry to be used with The King’s Warrant A Story of Old and New France.

Cherub Page Spacer

Added 6/16/14…found another book using this cute cherub page spacer. It dates back to 1877. Interesting enough, the book was about bat poop. lol Not exactly the place I would expect to find page decorations with cute little cherubs. Anyway, this more recent find is a bit clearer and I was therefore able to make it larger too, so I thought I would add it for your use as well. Use the bigger or smaller version, whichever works better for your project.
