What fun! A wheelbarrow ride. I loved these as a kid. In this charming Ida Waugh (1846-1919) illustration from 1892, a barefoot little boy is giving a wheelbarrow ride to a little girl. The pair are so cute. The little girl is wearing a red bonnet that looks almost as big as she is and is watching the boy pushing her along. The boy is wearing a much smaller hat, green britches and a striped shirt. Such a charming piece that would be great for tales of brothers and sisters playing together.
