Mallard Ducks Drawing

This is a smaller version of one of the life-sized illustrations from John James Audubon's greatest work - Birds of America. In it, two pairs of Mallard ducks appear in a natural setting. Audubon's attention to detail and realism make this duck drawing great but what makes it even more special is how one of the male ducks is helping his lady to grab a snack off a nearby reed. This duck image is perfect for anyone looking for a black and white representation of Audubon's work, ducks in the wild or even an illustration of cooperation.

Artist: John James Audubon (1785 - 1851)

Image Appears In: Birds of America

Date Image Published: 1827-1830
