Crown Drawing

It’s quite small, this crown drawing. But, it’s highly detailed and over 350 years old. It’s so highly detailed for such a small image. You’ve got to remember that when this crown drawing was first created, it was most likely either carved into wood and stamped onto the paper or drawn by hand as part of an illuminated manuscript.

Herperides: or The Works Both Human & Devine was the source for this image. It was published in 1648. Seems incredible that it has lasted all of these years.
