This vintage drawing of a person sweeping the floor also doubles as a caricature of a stay at home Dad. The person in this drawing has decidedly male-features while wearing a dress and bonnet. No matter in what context you use this vintage people drawing, it’s sure to generate conversation.
I always love finding books illustrated by Harrison Weir (1824-1906) because I know it will contain a number of great drawings. This one from 1877 was no exception. This old maid drawing was included in the children’s book Lily’s Screen.
