Bondhus Glacier, Hardanger Fjord

Bondhus Glacier, Hardanger Fjord. Located on the northern side of the Bondhus Valley in the Folgefonna national park, this glacier is still a popular tourist destination. Hikers, skiers and adventure seekers flock each year to explore this fairly accessible glacier. Each year local Norwegians celebrate and honor their frozen landscape when skiers wearing native costumes traverse the Bondhus Glacier.

Crafters can enjoy visiting this area vicariously by incorporating this copyright free and public domain image in their next crafting project. I found it in the book Peeps at Many Lands: Norway that was illustrated by A. Heaton Cooper (1864-1929) and published in 1911.
