Traveling Alone

Vintage drawing of a little girl traveling alone on a train. With her suitcase beside her on the seat, this young girl looks pensive as she travels to visit her Aunt. Evelyn is wearing a pretty button down coat, a frilly dress and sailor-style hat. She’s so small, her feet don’t even touch the floor. It’s an interesting image of a little girl which could be left in the original black and white or easily colorized. It is from Harper’s Young People. The February 17, 1880 edition, like all of them from this period, did not identify their illustrators.
