Carriage Ride Drawing

A gentleman and two ladies are pictured in this vintage horse and carriage image. With their driver dressed in their finest livery and trunks on the back of the carriage, this trio looks like about to start on a journey.

Unfortunately, the text on the facing page did bleed through some but it is faded enough where it could probably be erased with a graphics program. I tried and it worked well, just didn’t have the patience to get all the little spots. And, besides, I know some of you like it when the text bleeds through.

What would Carll B. Williams (d.1928) think if he knew his carriage ride drawing from 1907 is still being discussed all these years later? It is one of a number of charming illustrations from Billy Whisker’s Travels which can be found on Reusable Art.
