Medlars

Medlars apparently were more popular back when this image was drawn in 1653, but according to at least one source they are making something of a come-back. These interesting fruits were even mentioned in two of William Shakespeare’s plays, though not in exactly a favorable light.

With or without the title, this truly vintage image, is fully in the public domain, is freely downloadable, and is something unusual to add to your next creative work.

Believe it or not, this vintage image dates all the way back to 1653. No author or illustrator was given credit for the work it appeared in, A Book of Flowers & Fruits.
