I’m not entirely sure these are truly black and white daisies or some other flower. But, they are stunning and dramatic no matter what species they might be.
Ironically, this wonderful public domain flower drawing was included in a 2-volume work that depicted French ladies as flowers. Les fleurs animées was a satirical work was published in 1867. This engraving, and a number of others, were included as page decorations and are often not included in conversations about this book.
That’s good news for us though. While all the attention is focussed elsewhere, we can enjoy these wonderful black and white daisies. Just imagine how beautiful this engraving would be with some color added. No matter what color your project needs, you could add it to these flowers.
Don’t let the size you see before you fool you. We have a fairly large version of this black and white daisies engraving for you. Just click on the drawing above to freely access it.
