Amanita Mushroom Drawing

You know those striking red mushrooms with the white dots that so many folks on Pinterest are making out of clay? They’re called Amanita muscaria. While this amanita mushroom drawing doesn’t have that striking red color, it does show the full structure of these curious fungi. These mushrooms are easy to spot in the woods. However, it would be a very, very bad idea to taste them.

It is a scientific illustration of the structure of the mushroom that I found in a 1911 encyclopedia.
