Visiting in Winter

Guests arrive under the trees on a winter’s day. Large stately trees shade the front drive as one guest arrives on foot and others arrive by horse-drawn carriage. This black and white line drawing would make a great Christmas card and with a little colorization it would really stand out.

Please note: This drawing is signed but the illustrator was not identified in the book Christmas Rhymes and Stories: original and selected. Including a Visit from Santa Claus. It was written by Clement Clark Moore (1779-1863) using the penname Kriss Krigle. More than likely this image is classified as work for hire and the image is owned by the publisher. Due to the date of publication, 1884, it is definitely in the public domain in the US; people in other countries may need to research the signature. If you recognize the signature and/or illustration, please let me know.
