Santa's Arrival

St. Nicholas has come to bring Christmas presents to a trio of children. Three stockings hung by the chimney with care hang empty and ready for Santa Claus to fill them with toys. This wonderful Christmas image depicts Santa Claus tip-toeing from the fireplace with his sack full of toys and a toy drum on his arm and helps illustrate the wonderful Christmas poem, Night Before Christmas...

And his clothes were all
tarnished with ashes and soot;
A bundle of toys he had
flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler
just opening his pack.
His eyes-how they twinkled!
his dimples - how merry!

Artist: none listed, author Clement C. Moore (1779-1863), publishers Charles E. Graham & Co.
