Will you be mine?

Vintage drawing of a dapper young man posing a question to a young lady. Will you be mine? Perhaps he’s asking her to be his Valentine. Or maybe to go to a barn dance, or maybe just for directions. I tend to think it’s a picture of a romantic encounter of some sort but you can use it to depict whatever you wish since it is in the public domain.

Gordon Browne (1858-1932) drew this vintage illustration which was included in National Rhymes of the Nursery.
