Cloudberries

Fruit of the natural size. Flowering stalks diminished. Cloudberries may be best known for their use as a scurvy cure and preventative. When mixed with rum, residents of Siberia kept themselves healthy by taking several spoonfuls daily.

So, maybe you don’t need a scurvy cure, but this free downloadable image would make a pretty addition to most any project requiring a flower or berry image.

This book illustration appeared in The Voyage of the Vega Round Asia and Europe Vol. 1, written by A.E. Nordenskiold. It was published in 1881.
