Crandall’s Acrobats

Fun vintage advertising image of a set of Crandall’s Acrobats. Each figure is costumed and can be posed. The advertisement read, “Full of fun and frolic, and most brilliant in costume. These are among the most fascinating and ingenious toys ever invented. The number of figures which can be made with the pieces in a single box, is limited only by the ingenuity of the operator.” This toy also appears to have been accompanied by a pair of American flags. The Nursery, February 1877 is where I found this illustration.
