This small black and white drawing of a rocking horse could be used in so many ways. It’s simply lines make it fairly easy to increase the image size and with a little editing, it would work quite well at a larger size. The little horse has a simple riding saddle and stirrup. It would make a charming addition to any creative project and best of all it is firmly in the public domain.
This is another of those wonderful children’s books which provided a bunch of great vintage images for Reusable Art. National Rhymes of the Nursery did not include a publication date, but the artist was Gordon Browne (1858-1932) and his work is in the public domain.
This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
