This vintage black and white sea fan drawing reminds me a bit of a tree. I think it would be a great drawing to use in a mixed media project.
The 1911 Encyclopedia was quite controversial for some of the ideas expressed but most of the world considered this extensive work to be in the public domain. For us, that means tons and tons of great vintage images like this sea fan drawing to play with and enjoy.
The sea fan shown is one of the corals that grow off of the English coasts. In real life, Gorgonia cavolinii are pink. This coral drawing would look beautiful with a bit of coloring added.
