Ladies of Spring

Cover art of a group of ladies meeting under a tree. In brightly colored dresses, these ladies are as colorful as the flowers some of them carry. One of them has a book on her lap. Could it be a clandestine meeting to read a prohibited tome? Or, could it be a quiet moment of shared poetry?

No matter the reason for the meeting in the woods, this lovely colored drawing of women would make a great addition to your next digital art project.

This vintage artwork was included in the 1886 work Miss Elliot’s Girls – Stories of Beasts, Birds, And Butterflies. It did not identify an author or an illustrator.
