Peacock Drawing

Oh, I so love the way Dugald Stewart Walker (1883-1937) draws peacocks. There’s just something about the way he draws their features that makes his work easily recognizable. We only see a small portion of this bird’s tail but we know it would have been beautiful.

This framed bird image was used as a chapter heading so I decided to leave the frame and the artist’s signature. You could easily remove both the frame and the initials and use this image in totally different ways. It was included in The Wishing Fairy from 1921.
