Letter A

What better letter to begin this set of mixed alphabet letters than the letter A? This fancy letter image is from a group of drop cap images used in a children’s book that all feature children.

In this vintage illustration, it looks like we have a little boy in knickers leaning against a solid black letter A. Use it alone or with one of the other letters in this set from the 1908 work Dream Blocks by Aileen Cleveland Higgins and illustrated by Jessie Wilcox Smith (1863-1935).
